M.K.
Bengtson is an entrepreneur turned author, living in the beautiful Monterey
Peninsula of central coast, California. Her writings run the gamut of
humorous to hard hitting drama.
She began writing as a way to help her understand the myriad of events
that brought her to the point of desperation while suffering from a gender
identity crisis. Initially, the writings were in the form of a journal
and short stories. In time, it became clear that the material was sufficient
for a memoir. However, since there were so many of these from other transgender
authors, she decided on creative non-fiction or the fictionalized autobiography.
The result was Dorothy's Boy. She has written a sequel called Finding
Home, a fictional account of Kelly's search for belonging.
Dorothy's
Boy
and
Finding Home are available through Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle
versions.
